Dennis Smith, president and CEO, founded firegear after a 20-year hearth industry career predominantly in retailing and distribution but also in manufacturing. His desire was to create a company that filled a void in the industry by listening to the needs of customers, dealers, and distributors—and designing products consumers loved and dealers enjoyed selling.
