Dennis Smith, president and CEO, founded Firegear after a 20-year hearth industry career predominantly in retailing and distribution but also in manufacturing. His desire was to create a company that filled a void in the industry by listening to the needs of customers, dealers, and distributors—and designing products consumers loved and dealers enjoyed selling.

Firegear’s corporate headquarters are located in Westland, Mich., with manufacturing facilities in
Fort Wayne, Ind.
